The DSerial-PCI is the easiest way to add a high-speed COM port. It is fully jumper configurable as COM1 through COM4 and compatible with all 14.4 Kbps , 19.2 Kbps and 28.8 Kbps external modems. The DSerial-PCI has all the speed advantages of the DSerial-550, but resides on the faster PCI bus. This allows the DSerial-PCI to utilize the shared interrupt structure of the PCI architecture, access some non-standard Com addresses, while freeing-up an ISA slot.
